It introduces wave-based zombie survival gameplay where you fight various types of enemies like green poison zombies that leave damaging pools, orange explosive zombies that deal high damage up close, and crawlers that slow you on contact. Elites also appear frequently, with high health and massive output. This mode is unlike anything in previous Marvel Rivals content and demands a different playstyle.
There are also major boss fights. Namor features a two-phase battle where you must shoot his squids to make him vulnerable. Wanda Maximoff is more complex, bringing a three-phase encounter including a devastating “reality eraser” attack that cannot be blocked or avoided. Punisher’s strength in this mode comes from his high single-target damage, range, and ability to control crowds using his turret and grapple. In high-level play such as Nightmare 4, staying alive is all about range, mobility, and putting out as much damage as possible before you’re overwhelmed. This build makes Punisher one of the best solo or team picks for the mode.
You’ll want to invest only in his red tree, focused on the Assault Rifle. Skip the blue tree (shotgun) entirely as it doesn’t complement this survival mode. The key perks you want include:

At that point, stop picking up magazine increasers. Instead, focus on stacking smart lock and rate of fire boosts. Ice shots and lightning shots from the purple tree are also useful for freezing zombies or hitting them with AoE damage. Lifesteal helps with survivability, but don’t go overboard on health perks. You’ll be in the backline, not tanking hits.
