Fantastic Four skins first steps in Marvel Rivals

The highlight of this week’s update is the debut of the Fantastic Four skins. Launching globally on July 24 at 10 PM ET (July 25 at 3 AM BST), each character from the iconic Marvel team received a stylish new look taken straight from the film. You can purchase the skins individually for 1,400 units each, or get the full bundle for 3,400 units.

Each individual bundle includes:

The MCU-inspired costume
A themed emote that fits the character
A character-specific spray
A nameplate modeled after the actor portraying them in the film

Buying the full combo bundle nets you all of the above for all four heroes Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing and also unlocks the Devourer of Popcorn Galacta spray, a fun nod to the cinematic experience.

Breakdown of each Fantastic Four skin and emote

Mr. Fantastic: Featuring a blue collared MCU outfit and an emote where he holds up four fingers, this skin’s nameplate strongly resembles Pedro Pascal, adding a touch of realism to the cosmetic.

Invisible Woman: Wearing a slick white-collared version of the suit, her emote turns her partially invisible while flashing two peace signs. The nameplate leans closer to Vanessa Kirby’s likeness.

Human Torch: Rocking a shorter haircut and fiery presence, his emote lights his finger like a candle. The nameplate is less similar to Joseph Quinn, but still a good addition.

The Thing: Possibly the most visually impactful, The Thing’s emote has him smashing his fists then trying to throw up four fingers, he manages three. His nameplate is paired with a Ben Grim spray, giving him a full cosmetic set.

New team-up ability: Human Torch and The Thing combo

To further promote the movie tie-in, Marvel Rivals added a dynamic new gameplay mechanic: a two-character team-up called First Steps. In this combo, Human Torch can lift The Thing and fly around with him for up to eight seconds. After selecting the perfect drop zone using an in-game ring, Torch slams The Thing into the ground, dealing area damage and grounding enemy players for a short duration.

This attack disables mobility abilities within the impact zone and adds damage over time, offering a strategic advantage in team fights. While there’s no word yet on whether the team-up will be permanent, early feedback has been positive and it may stay longer if it’s well-received.
